Pr 20.1:   Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Pr 20.1:   EL vino es escarnecedor, la cerveza alborotadora; Y cualquiera que por ello errare, no será sabio.
Pr 20.2:   The fear of a king [is] as the roaring of a lion: [whoso] provoketh him to anger sinneth [against] his own soul.
Pr 20.2:   Como bramido de cachorro de león es el terror del rey: El que lo hace enfurecerse, peca contra su alma.
Pr 20.3:   [It is] an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
Pr 20.3:   Honra es del hombre dejarse de contienda: Mas todo insensato se envolverá en ella.
Pr 20.4:   The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; [therefore] shall he beg in harvest, and [have] nothing.
Pr 20.4:   El perezoso no ara á causa del invierno; Pedirá pues en la siega, y no hallará.
Pr 20.5:   Counsel in the heart of man [is like] deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Pr 20.5:   Como aguas profundas es el consejo en el corazón del hombre: Mas el hombre entendido lo alcanzará.
Pr 20.6:   Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
Pr 20.6:   Muchos hombres publican cada uno su liberalidad: Mas hombre de verdad, ¿quién lo hallará?
Pr 20.7:   The just [man] walketh in his integrity: his children [are] blessed after him.
Pr 20.7:   El justo que camina en su integridad, Bienaventurados serán sus hijos después de él.
Pr 20.8:   A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
Pr 20.8:   El rey que se sienta en el trono de juicio, Con su mirar disipa todo mal.
Pr 20.9:   Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Pr 20.9:   ¿Quién podrá decir: Yo he limpiado mi corazón, Limpio estoy de mi pecado?
Pr 20.10:   Divers weights, [and] divers measures, both of them [are] alike abomination to the LORD.
Pr 20.10:   Doble pesa y doble medida, Abominación son á Jehová ambas cosas.
Pr 20.11:   Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work [be] pure, and whether [it be] right.
Pr 20.11:   Aun el muchacho es conocido por sus hechos, Si su obra fuere limpia y recta.
Pr 20.12:   The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
Pr 20.12:   El oído que oye, y el ojo que ve, Ambas cosas ha igualmente hecho Jehová.
Pr 20.13:   Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Pr 20.13:   No ames el sueño, porque no te empobrezcas; Abre tus ojos, y te hartarás de pan.
Pr 20.14:   [It is] naught, [it is] naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
Pr 20.14:   El que compra dice: Malo es, malo es: Mas en apartándose, se alaba.
Pr 20.15:   There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge [are] a precious jewel.
Pr 20.15:   Hay oro y multitud de piedras preciosas: Mas los labios sabios son vaso precioso.
Pr 20.16:   Take his garment that is surety [for] a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
Pr 20.16:   Quítale su ropa al que salió por fiador del extraño; Y tómale prenda al que fía la extraña.
Pr 20.17:   Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Pr 20.17:   Sabroso es al hombre el pan de mentira; Mas después su boca será llena de cascajo.
Pr 20.18:   [Every] purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
Pr 20.18:   Los pensamientos con el consejo se ordenan: Y con industria se hace la guerra.
Pr 20.19:   He that goeth about [as] a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.
Pr 20.19:   El que descubre el secreto, en chismes anda: No te entrometas, pues, con el que lisonjea con sus labios.
Pr 20.20:   Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Pr 20.20:   El que maldice á su padre ó á su madre, Su lámpara será apagada en oscuridad tenebrosa.
Pr 20.21:   An inheritance [may be] gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
Pr 20.21:   La herencia adquirida de priesa al principio, Aun su postrimería no será bendita.
Pr 20.22:   Say not thou, I will recompense evil; [but] wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
Pr 20.22:   No digas, yo me vengaré; Espera á Jehová, y él te salvará.
Pr 20.23:   Divers weights [are] an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance [is] not good.
Pr 20.23:   Abominación son á Jehová las pesas dobles; Y el peso falso no es bueno.
Pr 20.24:   Man's goings [are] of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
Pr 20.24:   De Jehová son los pasos del hombre: ¿Cómo pues entenderá el hombre su camino?
Pr 20.25:   [It is] a snare to the man [who] devoureth [that which is] holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
Pr 20.25:   Lazo es al hombre el devorar lo santo, Y andar pesquisando después de los votos.
Pr 20.26:   A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
Pr 20.26:   El rey sabio esparce los impíos. Y sobre ellos hace tornar la rueda.
Pr 20.27:   The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Pr 20.27:   Candela de Jehová es el alma del hombre, Que escudriña lo secreto del vientre.
Pr 20.28:   Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
Pr 20.28:   Misericordia y verdad guardan al rey; Y con clemencia sustenta su trono.
Pr 20.29:   The glory of young men [is] their strength: and the beauty of old men [is] the gray head.
Pr 20.29:   La gloria de los jóvenes es su fortaleza, Y la hermosura de los viejos la vejez.
Pr 20.30:   The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so [do] stripes the inward parts of the belly.
Pr 20.30:   Las señales de las heridas son medicina para lo malo: Y las llagas llegan á lo más secreto del vientre.
