Lc 23.1:   LEVANTANDOSE entonces toda la multitud de ellos, lleváronle á Pilato.
Lu 23.1:   And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.
Lc 23.2:   Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.
Lu 23.2:   And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this [fellow] perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
Lc 23.3:   Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndo él, dijo: Tú lo dices.
Lu 23.3:   And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest [it].
Lc 23.4:   Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.
Lu 23.4:   Then said Pilate to the chief priests and [to] the people, I find no fault in this man.
Lc 23.5:   Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.
Lu 23.5:   And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
Lc 23.6:   Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.
Lu 23.6:   When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
Lc 23.7:   Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.
Lu 23.7:   And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.
Lc 23.8:   Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.
Lu 23.8:   And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long [season], because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Lc 23.9:   Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:
Lu 23.9:   Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
Lc 23.10:   Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.
Lu 23.10:   And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
Lc 23.11:   Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.
Lu 23.11:   And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked [him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
Lc 23.12:   Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.
Lu 23.12:   And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
Lc 23.13:   Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,
Lu 23.13:   And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
Lc 23.14:   Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.
Lu 23.14:   Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined [him] before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:
Lc 23.15:   Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.
Lu 23.15:   No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.
Lc 23.16:   Le soltaré, pues, castigado.
Lu 23.16:   I will therefore chastise him, and release [him].
Lc 23.17:   Y tenía necesidad de soltarles uno en cada fiesta.
Lu 23.17:   (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
Lc 23.18:   Mas toda la multitud dió voces á una, diciendo: Quita á éste, y suéltanos á Barrabás:
Lu 23.18:   And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this [man], and release unto us Barabbas:
Lc 23.19:   (El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)
Lu 23.19:   (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)
Lc 23.20:   Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.
Lu 23.20:   Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.
Lc 23.21:   Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.
Lu 23.21:   But they cried, saying, Crucify [him], crucify him.
Lc 23.22:   Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.
Lu 23.22:   And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let [him] go.
Lc 23.23:   Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.
Lu 23.23:   And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
Lc 23.24:   Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;
Lu 23.24:   And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
Lc 23.25:   Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.
Lu 23.25:   And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
Lc 23.26:   Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.
Lu 23.26:   And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear [it] after Jesus.
Lc 23.27:   Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.
Lu 23.27:   And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
Lc 23.28:   Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.
Lu 23.28:   But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
Lc 23.29:   Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.
Lu 23.29:   For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed [are] the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
Lc 23.30:   Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.
Lu 23.30:   Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
Lc 23.31:   Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?
Lu 23.31:   For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
Lc 23.32:   Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.
Lu 23.32:   And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
Lc 23.33:   Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.
Lu 23.33:   And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Lc 23.34:   Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.
Lu 23.34:   Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Lc 23.35:   Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.
Lu 23.35:   And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided [him], saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
Lc 23.36:   Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,
Lu 23.36:   And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
Lc 23.37:   Y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los Judíos, sálvate á ti mismo.
Lu 23.37:   And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
Lc 23.38:   Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.
Lu 23.38:   And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Lc 23.39:   Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.
Lu 23.39:   And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
Lc 23.40:   Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?
Lu 23.40:   But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Lc 23.41:   Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.
Lu 23.41:   And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Lc 23.42:   Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.
Lu 23.42:   And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Lc 23.43:   Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.
Lu 23.43:   And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Lc 23.44:   Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.
Lu 23.44:   And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
Lc 23.45:   Y el sol se obscureció: y el velo del templo se rompió por medio.
Lu 23.45:   And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
Lc 23.46:   Entonces Jesús, clamando á gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, espiró.
Lu 23.46:   And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Lc 23.47:   Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.
Lu 23.47:   Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
Lc 23.48:   Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.
Lu 23.48:   And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
Lc 23.49:   Mas todos sus conocidos, y las mujeres que le habían seguido desde Galilea, estaban lejos mirando estas cosas.
Lu 23.49:   And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
Lc 23.50:   Y he aquí un varón llamado José, el cual era senador, varón bueno y justo,
Lu 23.50:   And, behold, [there was] a man named Joseph, a counsellor; [and he was] a good man, and a just:
Lc 23.51:   (El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;
Lu 23.51:   (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) [he was] of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
Lc 23.52:   Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.
Lu 23.52:   This [man] went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
Lc 23.53:   Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.
Lu 23.53:   And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
Lc 23.54:   Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.
Lu 23.54:   And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
Lc 23.55:   Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.
Lu 23.55:   And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
Lc 23.56:   Y vueltas, aparejaron drogas aromáticas y ungüentos; y reposaron el sábado, conforme al mandamiento.
Lu 23.56:   And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
