Lm 5.1: ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de lo que nos ha sucedido: Ve y mira nuestro oprobio.
La 5.1: Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
Lm 5.2: Nuestra heredad se ha vuelto á extraños, Nuestras casas á forasteros.
La 5.2: Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
Lm 5.3: Huérfanos somos sin padre, Nuestras madres como viudas.
La 5.3: We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
Lm 5.4: Nuestra agua bebemos por dinero; Nuestra leña por precio compramos.
La 5.4: We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.
Lm 5.5: Persecución padecemos sobre nuestra cerviz: Nos cansamos, y no hay para nosotros reposo.
La 5.5: Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
Lm 5.6: Al Egipcio y al Asirio dimos la mano, para saciarnos de pan.
La 5.6: We have given the hand [to] the Egyptians, [and to] the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
Lm 5.7: Nuestros padres pecaron, y son muertos; Y nosotros llevamos sus castigos.
La 5.7: Our fathers have sinned, [and are] not; and we have borne their iniquities.
Lm 5.8: Siervos se enseñorearon de nosotros; No hubo quien de su mano nos librase.
La 5.8: Servants have ruled over us: [there is] none that doth deliver [us] out of their hand.
Lm 5.9: Con peligro de nuestras vidas traíamos nuestro pan Delante del cuchillo del desierto.
La 5.9: We gat our bread with [the peril of] our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
Lm 5.10: Nuestra piel se ennegreció como un horno A causa del ardor del hambre.
La 5.10: Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.
Lm 5.11: Violaron á las mujeres en Sión, A las vírgenes en las ciudades de Judá.
La 5.11: They ravished the women in Zion, [and] the maids in the cities of Judah.
Lm 5.12: A los príncipes colgaron por su mano; No respetaron el rostro de los viejos.
La 5.12: Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.
Lm 5.13: Llevaron los mozos á moler, Y los muchachos desfallecieron en la leña.
La 5.13: They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.
Lm 5.14: Los ancianos cesaron de la puerta, Los mancebos de sus canciones.
La 5.14: The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.
Lm 5.15: Cesó el gozo de nuestro corazón; Nuestro corro se tornó en luto.
La 5.15: The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
Lm 5.16: Cayó la corona de nuestra cabeza: ¡Ay ahora de nosotros! porque pecamos.
La 5.16: The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
Lm 5.17: Por esto fué entristecido nuestro corazón, Por esto se entenebrecieron nuestro ojos:
La 5.17: For this our heart is faint; for these [things] our eyes are dim.
Lm 5.18: Por el monte de Sión que está asolado; Zorras andan en él.
La 5.18: Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
Lm 5.19: Mas tú, Jehová, permanecerás para siempre: Tu trono de generación en generación.
La 5.19: Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
Lm 5.20: ¿Por qué te olvidarás para siempre de nosotros, Y nos dejarás por largos días?
La 5.20: Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, [and] forsake us so long time?
Lm 5.21: Vuélvenos, oh Jehová, á ti, y nos volveremos: Renueva nuestros días como al principio.
La 5.21: Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
Lm 5.22: Porque repeliendo nos has desechado; Te has airado contra nosotros en gran manera.
La 5.22: But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
