Gn 2.1: Y FUERON acabados los cielos y la tierra, y todo su ornamento.
Ge 2.1: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gn 2.2: Y acabó Dios en el día séptimo su obra que hizo, y reposó el día séptimo de toda su obra que había hecho.
Ge 2.2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gn 2.3: Y bendijo Dios al día séptimo, y santificólo, porque en él reposó de toda su obra que había Dios criado y hecho.
Ge 2.3: And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Gn 2.4: Estos son los orígenes de los cielos y de la tierra cuando fueron criados, el día que Jehová Dios hizo la tierra y los cielos,
Ge 2.4: These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Gn 2.5: Y toda planta del campo antes que fuese en la tierra, y toda hierba del campo antes que naciese: porque aun no había Jehová Dios hecho llover sobre la tierra, ni había hombre para que labrase la tierra;
Ge 2.5: And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and [there was] not a man to till the ground.
Gn 2.6: Mas subía de la tierra un vapor, que regaba toda la faz de la tierra.
Ge 2.6: But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
Gn 2.7: Formó, pues, Jehová Dios al hombre del polvo de la tierra, y alentó en su nariz soplo de vida; y fué el hombre en alma viviente.
Ge 2.7: And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gn 2.8: Y había Jehová Dios plantado un huerto en Edén al oriente, y puso allí al hombre que había formado.
Ge 2.8: And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Gn 2.9: Y había Jehová Dios hecho nacer de la tierra todo árbol delicioso á la vista, y bueno para comer: también el árbol de vida en medio del huerto, y el árbol de ciencia del bien y del mal.
Ge 2.9: And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Gn 2.10: Y salía de Edén un río para regar el huerto, y de allí se repartía en cuatro ramales.
Ge 2.10: And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
Gn 2.11: El nombre del uno era Pisón: éste es el que cerca toda la tierra de Havilah, donde hay oro:
Ge 2.11: The name of the first [is] Pison: that [is] it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold;
Gn 2.12: Y el oro de aquella tierra es bueno: hay allí también bdelio y piedra cornerina.
Ge 2.12: And the gold of that land [is] good: there [is] bdellium and the onyx stone.
Gn 2.13: El nombre del segundo río es Gihón: éste es el que rodea toda la tierra de Etiopía.
Ge 2.13: And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
Gn 2.14: Y el nombre del tercer río es Hiddekel: éste es el que va delante de Asiria. Y el cuarto río es el Eufrates.
Ge 2.14: And the name of the third river [is] Hiddekel: that [is] it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river [is] Euphrates.
Gn 2.15: Tomó, pues, Jehová Dios al hombre, y le puso en el huerto de Edén, para que lo labrara y lo guardase.
Ge 2.15: And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Gn 2.16: Y mandó Jehová Dios al hombre, diciendo: De todo árbol del huerto comerás;
Ge 2.16: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gn 2.17: Mas del árbol de ciencia del bien y del mal no comerás de él; porque el día que de él comieres, morirás.
Ge 2.17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gn 2.18: Y dijo Jehová Dios: No es bueno que el hombre esté solo; haréle ayuda idónea para él.
Ge 2.18: And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Gn 2.19: Formó, pues, Jehová Dios de la tierra toda bestia del campo, y toda ave de los cielos, y trájolas á Adam, para que viese cómo les había de llamar; y todo lo que Adam llamó á los animales vivientes, ese es su nombre.
Ge 2.19: And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.
Gn 2.20: Y puso Adam nombres á toda bestia y ave de los cielos y á todo animal del campo: mas para Adam no halló ayuda que estuviese idónea para él.
Ge 2.20: And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Gn 2.21: Y Jehová Dios hizo caer sueño sobre Adam, y se quedó dormido: entonces tomó una de sus costillas, y cerró la carne en su lugar;
Ge 2.21: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Gn 2.22: Y de la costilla que Jehová Dios tomó del hombre, hizo una mujer, y trájola al hombre.
Ge 2.22: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gn 2.23: Y dijo Adam: Esto es ahora hueso de mis huesos, y carne de mi carne: ésta será llamada Varona, porque del varón fué tomada.
Ge 2.23: And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Gn 2.24: Por tanto, dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y allegarse ha á su mujer, y serán una sola carne.
Ge 2.24: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Gn 2.25: Y estaban ambos desnudos, Adam y su mujer, y no se avergonzaban.
Ge 2.25: And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
